A Value We Hold

Compassion

Compassion, here, means listening without flinching — whatever you bring, whatever mess it's in, whatever you're afraid it says about you. There's no reaction of shock, no subtle judgment in a pause, no silent scorekeeping of whether your problem is "big enough" to matter.

It also means not rushing you. Some things take a while to say properly, and some things never quite come out clean. Compassion is staying present through all of that, without needing you to hurry up or wrap it in a bow.

You won't be told what to feel, or how quickly to move past it. You'll simply be met, exactly where you are, by someone who isn't trying to fix you — just be with you.
